The human body can be a source of the miraculous. The very minute I write this message to you, someone in a laboratory somewhere is breaking through old concepts about the body, discovering that what was once a machine made of flesh and bones is actually a living process, a river without boundaries. Yet you and I find ourselves with bodies that wear out, age, grow sick, and disappoint our highest aspirations for freedom and creativity.
Clearly, the body needs to be reinvented. That’s the main theme of my new book, Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul. I throw out every fixed belief about what the body can and cannot do. In their place, I offer five breakthrough ideas that can completely alter how you see your body and what you do with it.
Breakthrough #1 — Your Physical Body Is an Illusion

Each of these breakthroughs overturns an outmoded belief that turns into a physical limitation. If you think of your body as a physical object, you will cooperate with aging, because what is aging but a physical object wearing out? If you believe that time is your enemy, aging has gained another ally. If you accept that your genes are fixed, they take away your freedom to change.
What these five breakthroughs have in common is this: you can change your body through consciousness, because despite its physical appearance, your body is the product of consciousness to begin with. There is no difference between a thought and a molecule in the brain. Each intention sends signals to every cell in the body, causing the cell to change. Therefore, the most natural way to achieve change is through the power of intention.
The second half of the book’s title, Resurrecting the Soul, extends the power of consciousness far beyond the physical. The soul is your spiritual body. It brings nourishment to every cell as surely as nutrients are brought by the blood. Most people believe they have a soul, but they rarely if ever feel connected to it. When you reconnect, a kind of resurrection occurs: you discover that the closer you live to your soul, the better for your body.
Health, anti-aging, a strong sense of self, centeredness, spontaneous right action, the increase of love and compassion — these are all united at the deepest level of consciousness. Every cell is aware of the state of your soul, and vice versa. One consciousness, constantly moving and evolving, is who you really are.
This conclusion is the most important one I’ve arrived at after thirty years of teaching people how to unite body, mind, and soul. Union cannot be achieved one piece at a time. Even though most people attack their problems one at a time and have mixed priorities in their lives, the truth is that wholeness is wholeness. People don’t feel whole because they have excluded their bodies from the spiritual journey, judging the body to be inferior, defective, ugly, and devoid of intelligence. At the other end of the scale, they have sent the soul into a never-never region above and beyond this world.
So as you reinvent your body, which means accepting it as part of your whole consciousness, the soul must also be brought back into partnership with it. Five soul breakthroughs are needed:

When you absorb these ten ideas, and follow the practical exercises attached to each, you will turn the process of life in a new direction. Instead of being blocked by obstacles, areas of freedom open up where you never imagined them. I speak personally, because the seed of this book dates back to my first days in medical school. When I used a scalpel to slice beyond the barrier of the skin, I gained scientific knowledge about the body, but at the same time I sacrificed the body’s mystery and holiness.
We need to have both. The reason you can reinvent the body rests upon solid new evidence about the brain, genes, and lifestyle changes. Yet those are the windows through which a much greater truth can be seen, which is this. When the flow of life encompasses mind, body, and soul, a person has found the easiest way to live. We must put out of our heads that unity is an exotic, faraway goal reached only by the spiritually gifted.
When you delve into Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul, your allegiance will shift to wholeness. You won’t be fixated on your body, your mind, or your spiritual path. The three will merge, as they must in order to be whole. The reunion is the most joyous experience anyone can have, and happily for all of us, it’s also the most natural.

These are the very breakthroughs that Jesus, St. Paul Mrs Eddy, Albert Eisenstein and a few other individuals have understood by their own thorough investigations and explorations into the meaning of Consciousness, and Scientific practices, which lead them into direct experiences of the Truth that your new book speaks….This is the modern day version of the Good News from the Gospels and on a scientific level what Eientstien understood also….But what I see emphasized in your breakthroughs , is the importance of the merging of all three aspects of our being, namely, body mind and spirit. you can only choose love and God in your mind. If you had no awareness of God, how could you make a choice for God? Awareness is a very important factor of who your being, as it connects you to God’s Awareness. God speaks to man through his thoughts and ideas, By listening to the good and loving ideas that come from God’s Mind and expressing them, then we are fulfilling God’s expression in this human experience through the ideas and thought that He gives us. The opposite of God also speaks through a man’s thoughts and ideas. God has given us power to choose good thoughts and ideas that reflect are being aware of God’s-Christ Mind/consciousness-or to choose the erroneous false ideas and thoughts that are from a benign force,namely Satan in this instance. Only God’s ideas are infinite and all good, true and harmonious.
The devil ideas are a benign and powerless force in our mind, unless we give it power. We give the devil ideas power as we pay attention to the devil thought in our own awareness….When our awareness and mind is imbued with the Christ Idea, we now have atonement…AT One ment with God’s creative ideas and thoughts….We thus then are lead to understand the purity of God’s Mind and Awareness.
On this basis I understand completely what Deepak is trying saying. And I am grateful that he has explored what the mind is and has shared that with all of us…..
The first commandment states to love God with all your heart, “mind” and strength. Notice the word mind in that commandment. It would be beneficial that you explore why the word mind is in that first commandment…the devil is a false idea that try’s to lie to you and keep you separated from the Christ mind….Now you choose how much you want to believe in the devil in your own mind, that is up to you. But as you told me you already have chosen God, so I know in my heart of hearts that Christ will lead you into all understanding. I also know that to condemn, who you may consider an enemy, is not the Christ way, as Jesus said love your enemies….Instead of condemning the man who has made this website available, share with us all the Christ message as you understand it…This is the Christ way

The trinity is most definitely found in Christianity, I agree. But when I say emphasis in the above reply, I am trying to convey that the language Deepak uses is more directed to each individual as a Whole, For instance the word “son” in the bible has been grossly misunderstood. Their many who still believe there is only one son of God….and many who don’t understand the metaphysical meaning of Father(Pure infinite Awareness itself) either, and really there are those who don’t yet know how to identify with the Son or the Father, because the meaning of both these terms in the Bible have not been until this century frankly, brought into simple more direct language. Eckhart Tolle is another one who uses simple language for helping people understand the meaning of the Trinity.
All in all, I understand you Meike and I appreciate sharing with all of you very much…God creates life to give and share of it’s own eternal Being….No wonder it feels so good to give and share ourselves…..love and Peace…Gyanama
Mr.Hackman I leave you with this…what appears as jumping to you, is really the evidence of expanded awareness. God is not just present in the physical human world, if God was only present here in the human world, that would make God limited. I suggest you study the metaphysical meaning of the Bible. That will be all I can help you with right now. The choice for you to go beyond the literal context and meaning of the Bible is yours. What you have not yet understood is that the Bible offers a Spiritual meaning that leads us into the infinite understanding of God’s omnipresence. ….(For those who have ears to hear and eyes to see.)…
Most of the people on this website have metaphysical understanding, which is unbounded, ever expanding and infinite in it’s nature. As this is the Nature of the Christ Mind, the Divine Mind.
If you continue to deny the metaphysical meaning in the Bible, then you continue to deny the unbounded infinite spirit within yourself….I let it rest here between you and I and I will continue to know that your honest devotion to the truth you understand, will lead you into All Truth…Be at Peace//// Love, Gyanama

I’ve heard that argument Guyanama. The problem with it is that it robs literature of any kind of The authors intended meaning. How can you be sure that the author intended his writings to be interpreted literally with the expectation of people using simple reason and logic can easily understand the message that is trying to be conveyed.
I have become aware that I am able to incorporate the teachings we find in the Bible with the writings of Deepak Chopra. Many of the beliefs are entwined with each other. In my opinion it depends upon the interpretation of every individual. I find a much more gentle Spirit experience in the teachings of Deepak. Having grown up in a rigid Christian family, I found a “fresh breath of air” in living in the moment, just being, and becoming “conscious”. Knowing that I am walking my path with Spirit each day, without any need for “performance”, or “condition”, has given me a wonderful peace in my life. IMO that we ALL are one with the Universe. How can one think otherwise when we experience the breathtaking beauty of a flower, the sweet sounds of a bird, or babbling brook. A beautiful baby, or a strong, tall tree! All of these give me witnesses to Spirit/God/Universe and the true light of my soul.
According to aerodynamics a bumble bee should not beable to fly. From a human standpoint, scientific explanation counts for a lot, but I remain open to infinite possibilities that even transcend all human laws, reasoning and logic. Speaking from my heart of hearts, I can only say that my world view isn’t limited to this world only…And I am most thankful for that…Peace to you All….Gyanama
Bumblebee wings produce “more lift” then predicted by conventional aerodynamics analyzes. I liken this example of the bumble bee to show that the conventional mind has not enough lift to see beyond the conventional way. If all men had stayed in a boxed conventional mind, we would not have progressed very far, heck we could still be without a tooth brush. To be a conventional thinker is to lack in originality and individuality. As most of us all know conventional thinking lacks in being original. A mind such as this only knows what it’s been conditioned to think and can not think for itself. A conventional mind can’t bring in anything new. It’s no wonder conventional, thinkers fear change and will attack anyone who lives out of the box and tries to bring in something new and good….Conventional thinkers can’t get along with people, especially themselves. They hate reform and more especially hate the reformers…But, there is good in all this, as I am an unconventional thinker, I see the bigger picture, and I am lifted in a bright new awareness at every moment, bringing in something new everyday, and I am thankful that the very squeeze of conventional thinking finally pushed me right out of the ego bound prison into a whole new world view….And it’s beautiful, free and peaceful….If you live in only the known, set yourself free and be happy. It’s your choice..
